ROKO Labs is seeking a Vice President, Product Management to support a diverse portfolio of client engagements in the Fintech and Financial Services industry. Duties include client research, requirements gathering, UX strategy, documentation, and overall project leadership. A successful Vice President, Product Management, you will help build long-term relationships with clients and manage the planning and execution of business objectives. You’ll lead strategic product consulting, including establishing a clear product and UX vision, facilitating strategic planning and roadmapping, and creating optimizations across human capital, processes, and technology investments.
Responsibilities:
Own and guide the functional evolution of products by developing against needs that are voiced directly by clients and their end users.
Proactively recommend functionality and investments based on your expertise and industry/competitor trends.
Manage the high-level strategic direction of major initiatives defined by clients and drive execution and delivery across several multi-disciplinary teams. Develop customer relationships by independently working with clients, particularly executives, senior management, and owners.
Identify, recommend, and assist in the implementation of internal operational improvements.
Lead discussions with clients, users, third-party vendors, data source providers, business SMEs and other parties as necessary to gather product requirements.
Analyze usage statistics and other client reporting metrics, the book of business, and operating metrics. Based on the analysis, deliver recommendations to the client for product and process based on analysis.
In coordination with clients, build long-term roadmaps and establish key KPIs to help drive their business.
Manage the development of internal methodologies and process improvements to increase overall efficiency. Where necessary, influence change in the name of product management best practices.
Develop a deep understanding of clients’ quarterly, yearly, and strategic business plans and provide product management consulting on best practices and recommendations for achieving those objectives.
Contribute to organizational leadership initiatives, e.g., helping to broadly develop staff development plans & processes, develop succession plans, define global organizational structures for scale, etc.
Participate in contract proposal, negotiation, upsell/growth, and renewal processes.
Qualifications:
12+ years of related work experience. Minimum 8+ years in a senior, external client delivery role or similar role working directly with top executives.
Possess a deep fintech or financial services industry background and experience. Former experience in Finance and ability to relate to customers in the Fintech industry a requirement.
In-depth experience with building and delivering analytics product lines, revenue models, data modeling, pros/cons of build vs. buy, etc. Able to speak with confidence in an advisory capacity based on prior experiences.
Knowledge of analytics products and features, understanding of information visualization best practices and how to translate key insights to end users.
SaaS and B2B expertise a plus.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
Excellent active listening skills.
Extensive experience in scrum-based Agile development methodology.
Ability to develop relationships with clients, internal team members, and others at all levels of an organization.
Strong desire to improve and continuously learn -- and inspire this value in others.
Professional demeanor and behavior; can-do attitude. Able to jump and and ‘get it done’ when necessary.
Experience managing multiple projects independently and proactively problem-solve, raising concerns and initiatives with other leaders to evolve process, relationships, and ways of working.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, with demonstrated ability to efficiently produce crisp, professional documents.
Direct management experience leading multiple teams to establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, encourage team dialogue; provide candid, meaningful/real-time feedback and encourage improvement, innovation.
Advanced experience developing and executing business plans, owning customer relationships, and managing product enhancements that lead to achieving strategic business objectives, such as increased revenues, customer retention or decreased costs.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance/Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics Mathematics, Regulatory Compliance, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and/or other business fields of study.
